It's
a great day for a song! . . . even if it's us
doing the singing.

Chalk it up to fun!
The second annual Canton cherry Festival proved to be a very interesting
day. New to us, we felt quite lucky to take in all the sounds as well as
the
sights of this quaint little festival. The primary focus is on the
arts. What a treat to meet and interact with the talented sidewalk chalk
artists.
We certainly wish them all a tremendous year in pursuit of their talents.

See you in another 25!
How many groups can say that they they were lucky enough to play at the 25th
wedding anniversary for some cherished old friends?
and . . .
Also say that they were there to play at their actual
wedding!!! Well, this summer we got the rare opportunity to do just
that. Friends
from J.C.Pennys, over 25 years ago, Chuck and Diane were at it again!
(having a great party, that is . . .). It was a super-fun night,
seeing our old friends, their friends and families also. We need to make
sure to thank them again, and know that we will keep the date open,
for the next 25!

wet and wonderful!
For the second time this wonderful summer, the rain interceded at one of our
concerts to make itself known. Right about and hour into our,
hour-and-a-half
concert at the Shelby Civic Center, the rain became too much for the
crowd. Well, not exactly . . .
Actually, the crowd stayed, but was sent packing by the local law enforcement
agency, when the threat of high winds and hail proved too much for them to ignore.
Carl and I need to make sure that everyone in attendance knows how much we
appreciated them sticking around until the warning sounded.
Make sure that you contact the local cable TV network
to obtain a copy of the Bob and Carl show that night, as it was recorded for
posterity!

Music on the Hill!
Marysville is such a nice setting that it becomes very difficult to not look forward to this event annually. So many people attended this
year that
there seemed to be five hundred or more!
Make sure that you check
out the pictures of this warm summer night's musical magic!

Another fun party goes in the scrapbook. Carl
and I would like to that the hosts of the party Saturday, for making it
such a huge success!
Having a setting like this is just the recipe needed to make it a super
event. Kids are swimming and playing, adults are swimming, singing,
dancing and playing too!
What fun! Take a peek at one of the funnest pool parties yet!

Our summer of 7 marches on!
Before anything else, I need to thank all of the wonderful people who
endured our concert in Roseville on Thursday evening.
Its not in the usual sense that I say "endured". It wasn't
just the lousy music. Nope, this time, we had lousy music, AND rain!
As you know in Michigan, the weather will change in 10 minutes, and this
night was no exception. When our concert began, it
was a beautiful summer evening. But about 15 minutes in, the rain
began. So . . . we invited everyone inside the gazebo with us
to enjoy the remainder of the concert, "In the Round" so to
speak.
What fun!
We would have to say, that in the 35 years we have been playing now, this
was one of the most memorable and enjoyable concerts
we have ever played! It was such and intimate setting, with the
crowd right behind and all around us. All the while the rain was
pouring.
We went around the gazebo, taking turns with requests, and even played
most of them!
Then, the sun came back out, the rain stopped, and there was even a
rainbow or two to finish the show. No extra charge!
Thank you again, all the wonderful people who helped us make a life-long
memory!

Hey everyone!
Our summer has heated up, and we are in the thick of our concert season.
It is great to see all of the friends who have stopped by our shows to say
hello.
Yesterday, we battled the elements to have a beautiful day at the Great
Oaks Country Club. We played, we watched, we sang, we eat, therefore
we were.
Whatever that means. I have posted some pictures of all the fun here
so that you could feel a part of the action.

Tonight is our Roseville concert, and I will let you know how much fun
that was when I post next!

When you get the "once-in-a-lifetime"
chance to perform at the Henry Ford House in Dearborn Michigan, on a
priceless Steinway Grande Piano
you take it! (remember that).

Due to the kindness and connections of Carl's favorite niece,
"D", Carl and I had that rare opportunity this very
summer. It was truly a day to remember. Hot,
exciting, musical and fun. With a small tornado thrown in for good
measure. So after Carl performed his favorites, originals, love
songs and more, we had a
sumptuous luncheon, followed by the air raid warning signal that told us,
everyone would be rushed to the basement shelter.
The staff was wonderful to us, and were in good
spirits, even under ground. Look at the event pictures, and realize,
they do not do this treasured venue
justice. Thanks again for the opportunity to mix music with magic,
in this traditional setting.

Summer schedule is going up today, although we
still have many dates left open. Our wish is that it will be
wonderful summer of music, laughter and fun.
It is all up to you, the people that keep us going.

"Where have you guys been?!?" "And what have
you been up to?"
We get that a LOT lately, when we see our friends and fans. The
answer is not as sinister as it might appear. We have been busy!
Doing what?
Well . . . that answer might not be as easy as it might seem.
When you left us last, the boys had been playing at Rosie O'Grady's in
Chesterfield, doing some recording projects, and gearing up for a holiday
season.
So what is going on now? We just finished playing on Wednesday at
Rosie O'Grady's, finishing up some recording projects, and gearing up for
the up-coming
holiday . . . Saint Patrick's day. So, you might say that not much
has really changed.
We will play, A LOT on Saturday, from 8:00 am until
1:00 am. However, it is a wonderful chance to get to see some of our
fans that maybe we only see that day.
Not too many bands play real Irish music, so we revel in the chance to
shine on that day.

Ok, so, like I haven't updated the news in a while.
That doesn't mean that we haven't been busy. It was an incredible
Christmas Show
season this year, with many, many performances all over the county.
We saw so many smiling faces that it really made us feel wonderful.
Of all the music performances that we have played over the last 35 years,
nothing compares to the sight of children's eyes as they are
filled with the magic of the season! Thanks again to all the schools
that welcomed us in. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.
We certainly hope to see you again next year!

It was the second installment of the, hugely
popular Fraser Idol, which I was a part of that happened on Friday,
January 19. It was well
attended again this year, with many more faculty than last year as well.
The contestants vied to will prizes, but mostly the bragging rights
of being Fraser High school's best!
Having and strep throat for a couple weeks prior to
this event severally limited what I was able to sing, so I chose a song
that was well
within my ability.
I m m o r t a l
It was another chance to sing the new piece that I
had premiered at our friend John Russo's wedding, earlier in the month.
The song was well received by the teachers, administrators as well as the
students. I received many, many comments about the song,
and if it was going to be available soon. The answer to that burning
question is . . .
Soon. Carl and I worked on it, but sorry to
say, I was very unhappy with the results, which did not reflect the
potential of the song at all.
Not to worry, we will just do it again when we have the time.
Hopefully, that will be soon. I will post a link to it whenever it
is done.
I have put together both a slide-show as well as an
album of the event, so that everyone can view it. The pictures were
taken by
Dr. Dave Richards, Maryanne Santarossa and myself. I hope that you
enjoy them. It was a great event, put on by Jim Socha, the
Fraser High school teacher.
You can view the slideshow I put together, made
from the photos from the event here:
