A Musical Lifetime
Carl and I never set out to share our lives with music; somehow things just fell into place. We met in fourth grade at our elementary school, Clinton Valley. Because of where we lived, Carl was the city boy, and I was the country boy. During the summer, we would get together and hang out, or play baseball, golf, tennis or hockey. Friends really don’t care what they are doing, as long as they are doing it together.
High School
In high school we hung out even more, and even worked a few jobs together. One of those jobs was at the YMCA in Mount Clemens. We worked at the back desk and spent a lot of our time listening to music and talking about the rock stars of the day that we both enjoyed.
Miller
One day at the YMCA, we met a bodybuilder who was also a musician and had his own band. He took the time to teach us some guitar chords, and it opened up a whole new world for us. Carl had taken piano lessons as a kid, and we were both in the school band, (Carl played trombone and I played trumpet), so somehow we became the horn section in Miller’s band.
Evolution
What began as a stint in a few bands as a horn section of two, soon gave way to Carl playing keyboards and my evolution as bass player changed everything. After joining and forming bands through the 70’s and 80’s, Carl and I have been entertaining in and around Michigan for more than 50 years now. The real star of our show is the music. We do everything in our power create a great vibe of music and fun for everyone. Thanks for looking in
